Why We Chose This Cabin

The Peace of Mind Cabin in Murray, KY was an absolutely beautiful place to spend some time. While looking for a place to kick off our Christmas and New Year’s season, this Airbnb had amazing reviews, ranking in the top 10% of homes, and appeared to be in a quiet area. Walking into this beautiful place says it all. This is a peaceful cabin with lots of outdoor space, perfect for spending time with people you love.

Location Stay and Details

We booked this cabin in December of 2025. Its location of Murray, KY made it the halfway point between a work location and our home base in Nashville TN. It is also not too far from one of our favorite spots, about 30 minutes away, Land Between the Lakes and Kentucky Lake. We only stayed for one night but we packed a lot into that stay. This cabin was a great spot for just the two of us, but could also accommodate a small family or multiple couples. 

Arrival & First Impressions

Upon first impressions, while it was dark when we got there, it was super easy to find, even coming from me who is very directly challenged. The drive way was clear, and we knew exactly where to turn. The cabin lights were on, lighting up the front porch and giving it a homey feel. I love a good driveway, and this one was great! A semicircle driveway led right up to the porch, making it super easy to unload, and even toss a little pspspspsp to the kitty we spotted in the distance before we headed inside.

Inside the Cabin

This airbnb is a two bedroom and two bathroom cabin. When you walk in the kitchen greets you, with the living room off to the right. Comfy couches, tons of blanket options, and a large TV call your name for some relaxation. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need to cook your own meals. Unfortunately, we only had snacks since we ate dinner before arriving, but we did enjoy the cute mugs displayed on the wall for a cozy hot chocolate by the fire.

The bedrooms were amazing as well. The main bedroom, which connected to the master bath, had one of the softest beds I have ever slept on. I’m still thinking about how I sank into that bed and got an incredible night’s sleep. As a bonus, there was also a full-length mirror, which, as a girly on social media, I feel is so important. Located inside the room, and to the right there is an in unit laundry so if you did get the opportunity to stay in the amazing spot for more than one night, you have the accommodation to wash some clothes. The bathroom was amazing, the shower was absolutely beautiful, with a rain head shower. My only complaint about the set up of the bathroom was the mirror. The ONLY reason I mention it, and partly this was my fault, but I was too short to see in it properly. This made getting ready is a little tricky, having to position myself just right and stand on my toes every now and then to not just see the top of my head. We did not stay in the upstairs room but it did have a queen bed, sofa bed, and full bathroom as well, basically mimicking the same layout as downstairs. 

I think the outdoor space had to be my favorite part of this cabin. It features a beautiful deck, hot tub, and a firepit with tons of outdoor room to run and play, yes, I still ran and played in the leaves, even when it was December. The temperature-controlled hot tub was great to use at night after a day of shooting and a car ride. It definitely made us more relaxed to enjoy our time. The firepit was fully stocked with wood to get you started and had some beautiful lights strung over head. There was plenty of seating around the fire, so if you had a group of people or a family this would be so perfect.

Little Details That Made It Special

Overall, this cabin was an amazing place to stay. One detail that truly stood out was the Christmas tree they had set up, bringing extra holiday joy into the space. They also had a shelf filled of board games and pamphlets of things to do in the area. This is always exciting to me as a guest, because I am always wanting to experience the local things in the area of where we stay. They also had a little note book where I got to read some reviews given by others, and we left one ourselves, and I will tell you. NOT ONE SINGLE REVIEW WAS BAD! They all raved about how wonderful this cabin is, and they were not wrong. It was truly one of the most homey, comforting places I’ve ever stayed. It did not feel like I was in someone else's space, it felt like your log cabin that you come to every Christmas season. 

EXTRA TIP: If you stay in this cabin, there’s a local donut shop near by with the best donut I had ever had. (I've had tons of donuts).

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Peace of Mind Cabin in Murray Kentucky, truly lives up to its name. This is the perfect place for couples, families, or friends looking to spend some quiet time in nature, and make some memories that will last forever.
