Top 4 Meals from NYC
After three days of eating our way through New York City, these were the meals that really stood out. From cozy brunch spots to classic NYC pizza, these are the places I would absolutely recommend.
1. Bocca di Bacco
Favorite Meal of the Trip
This dinner was the highlight of food this entire trip. We started with their meatballs, which were incredible, then I ordered the vodka pasta while Jimmy had the catch of the day (likely sea bass). Everything felt comforting and perfectly cooked.
To end the night, we shared a chocolate lava cake, and I had a watermelon mocktail that was surprisingly amazing. The atmosphere of this restaurant is dim lighting and perfect for a dinner date! They brought out a candle sparkler to celebrate my birthday bring fun and excitement to the night, making all the better.
⭐ Rating: 10/10
2. John's of Bleecker Street
If you're going to NYC, you have to have classic New York pizza, and this place delivered.
We shared garlic bread topped with fresh mozzarella and a pepperoni pizza, and the whole meal was fantastic. The crust was crisp, the cheese was perfect, and the flavor was exactly what you hope for from NYC pizza.
TIP: The only downside was the line to get in, but it was absolutely worth the wait. This line took us about 20 minutes to get inside, we were there when there was -15 wind chills, meaning if it is nice weather be prepared to wait in a line.

3. Little Hen
This brunch spot was so stinking cute! I was so obsessed from the moment I found it online. We were super lucky to get into the restaurant early because we did not have a reservation. I ordered the waffle with Belgian chocolate drizzle and a rose tea latte, and we split a Belgian chocolate croissant. The Belgian chocolate waffle was so amazing, the chocolate drizzle was over the top, if you are a chocolate lover this is the perfect waffle for you. They paired the chocolate with fresh strawberries, so yummy! The rose tea latte was so perfect! The latte art alone was impressive to me but the drink itself 10/10!
Jimmy ordered the Truffled Huevos Rotos (fries topped with eggs and truffle oil), which was rich and indulgent.

4. Rosa Mexicano
We met up with Andy here for brunch, and it was a fun way to start the day.
I ordered the Pretty in Pink waffle with hash browns, which was colorful and delicious. Jimmy had the Huevos Rancheros, and Andy ordered an omelet with hash browns. These hash browns were like any other I have ever seen. They came in this block, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The outside of hash brow was a perfect golden color.

Honorable Mentions (Still Worth Visiting)
These were still good stops during the trip, but they didn’t quite make my top list.
• Rosetta Bakery
• Shinjuku Ramen - Would be #5 on my list!
• Magnolia Bakery
• The Cupcake Bake Shop
• The Smith
My Least Favorite Meal
Tick Tock Diner
Unfortunately, this meal just didn’t stand out compared to the others we had in NYC. The food was okay, but after experiencing so many amazing restaurants during the trip, this one just didn’t quite measure up. This meal felt just tired, sad because it was the last meal of the trip. We were not close to to many things and the vibe of the restaurant looked fun and exciting, we did find out later on that the food was very meh.
It’s a classic diner experience, but if I were planning the trip again, I would probably try a different restaurant instead.
OVERALL
There is so much food in NYC it is absolutely impossible to squeeze so much into a 3 day trip! My rule is 4 meals a day with a snack in between! I can not wait to go back and try some more!
